\nThe Njemanze Royal Family of Owerre Nchise, Owerri Municipal Council Imo State, has described the administration of the immediate past Governor of the State, Chief Ikedi Ohakim as one which benefited the people of the area through many appointees and projects sited in the city.
\nThis assertion was by Bar Eze Ohiri Njemanze while responding on behalf of the Royal Family, when Chief Ohakim paid a condolence visit to the family following the death of late Chief Dan Njemanze (SAN).
\nOhiri Njemanze said that the people of Owerri cannot forget easily the love Ohakim showered on them by appointing their sons and daughters into various positions, including two of their sons, Bar Ken Njemanze who was the Commissioner for Justice and Attorney-General, and the present Chief Judge of the State, His Lordship, Benjamin Njemanze.
\nBar Njemanze said Owerri City is feeling nostalgic of the Ohakim’s Clean and Green Initiative days which restored Owerri as the cleanest state capital in the entire Federation, and felt sad that the situation has deteriorated so badly that Owerri is now a shadow of its old self with heaps of refuse everywhere.
\nEarlier in his speech, the former Governor, Dr Ikedi Ohakim had consoled the Njemanze family for losing one of their brightest stars, late Chief Dan Njemanze (SAN) and prayed God to receive his soul and give the entire Njemanze and Owerri Zone in general the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
\nOhakim also visited the Ojinika family of Orsu LGA where he commiserated with Hon Jeff Ojinika who was a former Commissioner in Imo State during his regime. The former member of House of Representatives lost his father.
\nThe Ex Governor also paid condolence visit to the family of Eze Ibenye Ugbala of Okporo Orlu, where he condoled with His Royal Majesty, Eze Victor Ibenye-Ugbala, who served as Secretary to Government of Imo State, SSG, during the Ohakim era. Eze Ugbala lost his younger brother, Dr Ugbala.
\nOn Ohakim’s entourage include, HRH Eze Cletus Ilomuanya, Bar Rex Anunobi (Sokom), Chief Paul Nnawuchi (Owe), Pharm JS Obi, Bar COC Akaolisa, Hon Henry Ekpe, Bar Enyinna Onuegbu, Chief CB Williams, Hon Stone Oparaku, Sir Roy Iwuala, Bar Emma Nwonye, Hon Tony Okere, Dr Kelechi Okpaleke, Chief Henry Onwukwe (Apiti), Bar Robert Okwuego, Prof Nnamdi Obiareri, Prof Obioma Ihedero, Prof Eze, Princess Onuoha, Chief Christian Onuoha, and others.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
