The Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) office in Owerri was on Wednesday filled with Owerri North Youths when they came to protest over political attacks targeted at one of their apex leader and Amazon, Dr (Mrs) Kema Chikwe by some suspected political detractors.
\nThe youths known as \u201cSave Owerri North Youth Forum\u201d said on its protest letter that there was no time Dr (Mrs) Chikwe campaigned for any aspirant on any political position adding that the attack is a misguided action instigated by undesirable elements adding that the PDP woman leader only urged them to continue supporting PDP and president Goodluck Jonathan for 2015 Presidential election. The protest letter signed by the duo of Hon. Nnaemeka Njoku and Mr Benneth Onyeukwu who are General Coordinator and General Secretary respectively; also warned all to stop pointing accusing fingers unnecessarily on the former minister and any other politician from Owerri North LGA irrespective of political affiliation.
\nLastly, they utilized the medium to extol Dr (Mrs) Chikwe for attracting meaningful jobs and attracting Federal Government projects in the state and prayed her to continue her good work in the country.
\nIn response to their protest, a PDP official thanked them for their peaceful protest and promised to submit their prayers to the officials so as to look into it and solve it amicably.
