{"id":14032,"date":"2015-05-07T13:27:05","date_gmt":"2015-05-07T13:27:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.imotrumpeta.com\/?p=14032"},"modified":"2015-05-07T13:30:06","modified_gmt":"2015-05-07T13:30:06","slug":"tension-in-oil-producing-lgas-over-re-appointment-of-isopadec-md-okafor","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.imotrumpeta.com\/?p=14032","title":{"rendered":"Tension In Oil Producing  LGAs Over Re-Appointment Of ISOPADEC MD, Okafor"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.imotrumpeta.com\/?attachment_id=14041\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-14041\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.imotrumpeta.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/henry-okoafor.jpg\" alt=\"henry okoafor\" width=\"599\" height=\"356\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-14041\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.imotrumpeta.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/henry-okoafor.jpg 599w, http:\/\/www.imotrumpeta.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/henry-okoafor-300x178.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 599px) 100vw, 599px\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nUneasy calm is brewing in the two oil producing areas of Imo State over the reported reappointment of Dr Henry Okafor as the managing editor of the state interventionist agency, the Imo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, ISOPADEC.<br \/>\nThe cause of the tension is the alleged plot Okafor is accused of making to launch a comeback for a second time as MD of ISOPADEC.<br \/>\nAlready, oil producing communities of Ohaji-Egbema and their counterparts in Oguta have been complaining of Okafor&#8217;s MD position on the premise that his (MD&#8217;s) community Osemotor, is not an oil-bearing town among communities in the LGA, to occupy such position.<br \/>\nThe repentant militants in the area are also said to have joined the bandwagon against Okafor&#8217;s return when the newspaper learnt that they have threatened showdown should Governor Okorocha go ahead to reconsider the MD.<br \/>\nIt would be recalled that people of Oguta Ameshi in Oguta LGA had during an interactive session with Governor Okorocha, demanded the removal of Okafor to enable them give him maximum support for second term.<br \/>\nOkorocha was said to have pleaded with the people of Oguta to exercise patience until he gets in for second tenure. Trumpeta however gathered that Okafor has started scheming for a return bid by using subterranean means to push for the appointment of a chairman of the board from Ohaji-Egbema which he has held since 2011 when Okorocha came into power.<br \/>\nSources revealed that Okafor is working on the support of key government officials to return to the office while Ohaji-Egbema hierarchy in APC is kicking
