By Onyekachi Eze<\/strong><\/p>\n Barely two weeks after the Governorship\/House of Assembly election in Imo State was conducted, controversy is trailing the name of one of the winners who emerged under the Action Alliance, AA party, Heclus Okoro.<\/p>\n Trumpeta<\/em> learnt that people of Ohaji\/Egbema State constituency he won their mandate to represent in the state assembly are raising \u00a0serious concern over the ambiguity surrounding the different names which appeared in INEC as the candidate and posters he used to campaign for votes.<\/p>\n It was learnt that in the final list INEC made public as those eligible to contest for Ohaji\/Egbema State constituency, what appeared was Cyriacus Okoro, while he used Heclus Okoro for campaign posters and fliers.<\/p>\n The newspaper however observed that in the campaign posters and fliers made public during the elections, only Heclus Okoro appeared for AA without any inclusion of the name of C or Cyriacus against what INEC published.<\/p>\n When contacted on a telephone for comments, Okoro said that there is misconception about his first names; either Heclus or Cyriacus, claiming that both belong to him as contained in the affidavit he swore, deposed before INEC as a candidate.<\/p>\n He said his original and formal name on the INEC register is Okoro Cyriacus, but said the name Heclus was a nick name his friends fondly called him.<\/p>\n When asked where and how the name Heclus came to be identified with him, the member- elect said his company\/business name bears \u201cHecluson\u201d which was from where the name Heclus originated and called by fans.<\/p>\n However, the Assembly member-elect stated that the name and whatever he does had an affidavit backing it, even though he maintained that his only official name known and registered with INEC is Okoro Cyriacus.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" By Onyekachi Eze Barely two weeks after the Governorship\/House of Assembly election in Imo<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[6],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-24065","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-view-point"],"yoast_head":"\n
