{"id":24784,"date":"2019-05-31T00:07:50","date_gmt":"2019-05-31T00:07:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.imotrumpeta.com\/?p=24784"},"modified":"2019-05-31T00:07:50","modified_gmt":"2019-05-31T00:07:50","slug":"okorochas-arm-of-algon-romances-new-governor-to-evade-sack","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.imotrumpeta.com\/?p=24784","title":{"rendered":"Okorocha\u2019s Arm of ALGON Romances New Governor to Evade Sack"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"400\" height=\"238\" src=\"http:\/\/www.imotrumpeta.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/algon.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-24785\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.imotrumpeta.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/algon.jpg 400w, http:\/\/www.imotrumpeta.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/algon-300x179.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>By Peter Uzoma<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Indeed failure is an orphan while success has many\nrelations, at least, so says the body language of the Imo chapter of the\nAssociation of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ALGON, Imo State chapter, which comprised all the\nrecently appointed Local Government Chairmen in the State had been the best of\nfriends with outgone Governor Owelle Rochas Okorocha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But surprisingly, before dawn yesterday, the ALGON members\nhad made a U-turn and had sent in a congratulatory message to Governor Emeka\nIhedioha pledging their loyalty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An ALGON source who pleaded anonymity told Trumpeta that\nthey did it with a view to identifying with the new Governor as a ploy to see\nif they could be retained in office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The source said palpable fear has engulfed the ALGON members\nwho it is certain could be tagged Okorocha\u2019s men given the roles they played in\nthe last governorship election which was reason for their hurried installment\ninto office.
