By Okey Alozie<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Indications\nthat contractors who worked during the Rescue Mission administration led by\nformer governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha,\nbetween 2011 and 2019, were ripped off, emerged on Thursday last week , when\none of them, Kingsley Onyegbule, the Chief Executive and Managing Director of\nKingseoul company Ltd, raised the alarm, at the probe panel, over his unpaid\ncontract which he claimed amounted to billions of naira.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A mixture of drama erupted last week, when Kingseoul,\nwho claimed he is being owed by the then Okorocha\u2019s administration, revealed\nthat even Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha who succeeded the Rescue Mission Government\ncould not pay him the Billions of naira that he used for the Execution of many\ncontracts in Imo State. He shouted on top of his voice and became emotional\nwhich almost landed into serious trouble.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In\nhis words \u201cmy expectation now is how to get my billions of money that Imo\ngovernment is owing me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cIt\nis now I know why Boko haram came up in this country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cNobody\nis talking about my contract money and how I will be paid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cNobody\nwants to know my problems\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cLet\nme be frank, this money can make me commit murder, I handled the new High Court\nproject and did 18 and 23 court rooms<\/p>\n\n\n\n He\naccused the former Chief Judge to have made things difficult for him. He\naccused him to have brought another person to take over part of his work\ncoupled with other treatment meted to him by the Government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cIs\nit bad that I used money to handle Imo contract job given to me. Where did I go\nwrong since all the jobs that I handled were all on ground for verification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n My\ngood work can speak for its self but Imo government don\u2019t want to pay me\u201d\nKingsley Onyegbule submitted at the probe panel\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n At\nthis point, the panel chairman, Justice Iheaka called him to order and almost punished\nhim for releasing his anger on members of the probe panel who were not there\nwhen he accepted to work for the Rescue Mission government led by Owelle Rochas\nOkorocha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cDo\nyou have your contract papers?<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cDo\nyou know that your countenance is contentious and unaccepted by the probe panel?<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cYou\nshouted on top of your voice as if we are the cause of your problem\u201d Justice Iheaka\nmaintained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Don\u2019t\nvent your anger on panel members again\u201d probe panel chairman warned Kingseoul\nowner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Another\nmember asked if he submitted letters for payment as other contractors did, but\nhe said no. The panel explained that \u201cit is necessary to know the truth. Make\nout fact to know who actually cheated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cKingseoul\nmay have encounter some problems but that is not why he should disobey the\nprobe panel many a time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It\nis on record that he refused to honour the panel in the past. It was at this\npoint Kingseoul lawyer started pleading for mercy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWe\nare deeply worried on the conduct of our client this afternoon\u201d, began his\nlawyer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cHe\nhas never behaved this way before. Moreover he has never been in court before.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Please\nsir pardon him and temper justice with mercy\u201d counsel to Onyegbule pleaded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n During\nquestion time, the commission members drilled Onyegbule on certain issues\nespecially on the transfer of Kingseoul\nexplained that he worked for the police headquarter building project along\nPorthacourt road as subcontractor and the N100m was for the job he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n According\nto him, he charged N290m for the job he agreed to work at the police\nheadquarters but Okorocha the then governor of Imo State approved the payment\nof N250m for the job he was asked to do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cIt\nwas from the total amount that he paid me a part money of N100m which Zigreat\ntransferred to me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI\ndon\u2019t know if the police headquarter job belong to Zigreat company or not\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n When\nasked how he got the job?<\/p>\n\n\n\n The\nman answered that Okorocha took him to the site and asked him to do some work\nbut \u201cI saw some workers there and thereafter the engineers working there got annoyed<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cAm\nready to provide pictures of all the jobs that I handled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n May\nI tell you that Okorocha may give job from foundation but another contractor\nfor one reason or the other will take over the job and complete it and that was\nthe system going on during the Rescue Mission era\u201d Onyegbule revealed<\/p>\n\n\n\n Many\ncompanies were mentioned for him to identify which he accepted to have done\ntransaction with some and somehow denied knowing others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Some\nof the companies mentioned include Multiple Global Company, Mayor and Jordan<\/p>\n\n\n\n JP\nCompany, Velranus Company and so many others.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" By Okey Alozie Indications that contractors who worked during the Rescue Mission administration led by<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":28528,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[3],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-28527","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-frontpage"],"yoast_head":"\nN<\/s>100m to his Company from Zigreat Company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
