(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n<\/strong>Local Government workers have been charged to work collectively as indivisible entity to achieve common goals.<br \/>\nImo State President Nigeria Union of Local Goverment Employees (NULGE) Chief Ambrose Onuoha gave the charge during the election of Ahiazu Mbaise Branch NULGE executive at the LG council Hall, Afor Oru.<br \/>\nHe advised them to be their brothers&#8217; keepers and discharge their functions effectively.<br \/>\nChief Onuoha warned against involvement in politics, rumour mongering, back biting, blackmail and bickering.<br \/>\nHe enjoined workers to reciprocate the goodwill of the state government in reposting the Directors of Administration and General Services (DAGS) back to LGs, prompt payment of salaries, N20,000 minimum wage above N18,000 approved by the federal government, assuring them that their leave allowances, minimum wage arrears and dress code allowance would soon be offset.<br \/>\nThe state president said his administration has raised the death benefit of workers from N2,500 to N20,000, disclosing that the two storey building he started for the new state NULGE Secretariat at New Owerri would soon be completed.<br \/>\nHe appealed to embattled LGs chairmen, councillors and aides to stop assaulting workers and sort out their problems with the state government, stating that the union would no longer fold arms and watch molestation of staff even as he decried sabotage by few disgruntled workers and warned that the union would not tolerate any treacherous acts,\u00a0 henceforth.<br \/>\nThe election had the incumbent LG NULGE Chairman, Comrade Anselm Igbokwe re-emerged as chairman with Comrade Anacletus Onyewuchi as secretary.<br \/>\nOther elected LG NULGE officials are: Mr. Stanley Ekeledo &#8211; Vice Chairman, Mr. John Uzor &#8211; Vice Secretary, Mrs. Getrude Nnorom &#8211; Treasurer, Mr. Sunny Anyanwu &#8211; Auditor and Mr. Jude Abara &#8211;
