IFFHS which was founded in 1984 to chronicle the history and records of associations determines the world ranking for strongest national leagues based on all national (championship) and (continental) Confederation as well as FIFA club competition results of the clubs. According to IFFHS, the Sudanese Premier League emerged the strongest in Africaafter three clubs made it to the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup. El-Merreikh topped group A and was followed by El-Hilal in second place but El-Ahly Shandy finished at the foot of the table in the same pool. NPL was also rated 60<sup>th<\/sup> in the world and 5<sup>th<\/sup> in Africa, beating the ABSA Premiership of South Africa, the location dream destination for most budding African players. The ABSA Premiership was rated 82<sup>nd<\/sup> in the world and 12<sup>th<\/sup> in Africa while the Tunisian League One is second in Africa and 42<sup>nd<\/sup> in the annual world ranking followed by Mali, Morrocco and Nigeria. With no competition taking place since January 2012, the once revered Egyptian League has plummeted to 14<sup>TH<\/sup> in Africa and 91<sup>st<\/sup> in the world. On the world stage,Spain\u2019s La Liga, which provided all members of the FIFpro world eleven in 2012, retained its place as the top league in the world for the third year in row. The Brazilian national league, the Brasileiraw, has climbed into the second place on the world ranking German Bundesliga is ranked fourth, a position higher than the much media frenzied English Premier League;<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">TOP TEN AFRICAN LEAGUES:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1.
