The attention of the office of the Rt. Hon. Speaker of Imo State House
\nof Assembly has been drawn to the publication (Article) on page 8 of
\nIMO TRUMPETA edition dated February 28 2013 with the above caption.
\nOrdinarily, I wouldn\u2019t have considered it necessary reacting but
\njudging from the fact that the article in question is sponsored,
\nmalicious, mischievous, intellectually and academically deficient and
\ndefective, dressed and performed with obvious lies and blackmail
\nagainst Rt. Hon. Chief Benjamin Uwajumogu (the Ebullient and vibrant
\nspeaker of Imo State House of Assembly), I therefore deem it expedient
\nto put the records straight so that members of the public will
\ncontinue to know the truth and also discountenance the antics of the
\nwriter\u2026\u2026 A Professor from Hell-Professor Nathan Uzorma Protus.
\nFor the avoidance of doubt, Professor Nathan Uzorma Protus is well
\nknown to me. Between 2007 and 2011, when the former governor
\nof Imo State held sway, I was the leader of the crusade against the administration. While the Late Maximus Uba was my second in command (2IC),
\nProfessor Uzoma Protus was the third in rank. I was there leader
\nthough the youngest in age. Room 608 of MODOTEL HOTEL (NOW ROCKVIEW
\nHOTEL) used to be our meeting place. We went our separate ways when I
\nrefused to be bribed by the defunct Ohakim government. While the Late
\nMaximus Uba collected N15, 000,000, Professor Protus Uzorma received
\nN10, 000,000. I continued with my crusade against the corrupt regime of
\nIkedi Ohakim while Late Maximus Uba and Professor Uzoma made a U-turn
\nand started hobnobbing with the Ohakim government. Professor
\nNathan Uzoma is today Ohakims attack dog. I can therefore state on
\ngood Authority without any fear of contradiction that I know Professor
\nProtus Uzorma Nathan too well. I know where he lives and he knows
\nwhere I live.<\/p>\n

BACK TO THE ARTICLE IN QUESTION;
\n(1)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 He maliciously accused Rt. Hon. Uwajumogu of fraudulently emerging
\nthe PDP candidate for Ihitte\/Uboma state constituency seat after
\nforcing his other PDP co-aspirants to step down for him.
\n(2)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 He falsely stated that Rt. Hon. Uwajumogu emerged Speaker on the
\n16th of June 2011.
\n(3)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 He falsely stated that Speaker Uwajumogu cross carpeted to APGA
\nimmediately after the inauguration as Speaker on the 16th of June
\n2011.
\n(4)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 He falsely stated that Rt. Hon. Uwajumogu cajoled his PDP ward
\nChairman and other executives to sign a letter, proving and testifying
\nthat he is still a PDP member.
\n(5)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 He stated that Audio-Video tapes of Speaker Uwajumogu\u2019s defection
\nspeech are watched by the public on rehearsal basis.
\n(6)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 He accused Speaker Uwajumogu of adopting voodoo strategy in making
\nand cajoling members of the Imo State House of Assembly to pass a vote
\nof implicit confidence on him,
\n(7)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 He maliciously accused Rt. Hon. Uwajumogu of parading with a
\nforged PDP membership card, with which he corner-crossed some INEC\u2019S
\nofficials in Abuja and stopped them from declaring his seat vacant.
\n(8)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 He maliciously accused Rt. Hon. Uwajumogu of mutilating all
\nofficial documents and audio-visual records in the House of Assembly
\ncontaining where he publicly read his resignation letter from PDP at
\nthe inauguration ground.
\n(9)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 He also accused Rt. Hon. Uwajumogu of threatening the lives and
\nproperties of PDP officials in his ward and Local government.
\n(10)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 This Professor from Hell finally accused Rt. Hon. Uwajumogu of
\nleading a defective House of Assembly that errs always in most of
\ntheir activities and extra-legislative functions.<\/p>\n

Before I\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 respond to these tissue\u2019s of lies, I want Professor Nathan
\nUzorma Protus and his sponsors to understand that Rt. Hon. Benjamin
\nUwajumogu is a man with great passion for the development of Imo
\nState, no wonder he has refused to dance to the tunes of the
\ndestabilizing music of a disgruntled cabal, who wants him to assist
\nthem fight the Rescue Mission government of His Excellency Owelle
\nRochas Okorocha.<\/p>\n

FACT NO 1
\nRt. Hon. Chief Benjamin keenly contested the PDP House of Assembly
\nprimaries for Ihitte\/Uboma state constituency seat with his fellows
\nco-aspirants and emerged victorious. The immediate past Deputy Speaker
\nof Imo State House of Assembly, Sir Jonas Okeke came a distant second.<\/p>\n

FACT NO 2
\nRt. Hon. Benjamin Uwajumogu emerged the Speaker of Imo State House of
\nAssembly on the 7th of June 2011 and not 16th of June 2011 as falsely
\nstated by this Professor from Hell.<\/p>\n

FACT NO 3
\nRt. Hon. Benjamin Uwajumogu has not and did not resign his membership
\nof the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Available records indicate that
\nthe entire PDP structure in his ward is solidly behind him. If he
\nactually resigned from his Party, then his party Chairman\u00a0 should
\nproduce his resignation letter for the world to see.<\/p>\n

FACT NO 4
\nRt. Hon. Benjamin Uwajumogu need not force or cajole anybody or group
\nof persons in PDP in his Ward to sign documents or write for him.
\nThere are thousands of evidence proving that Rt. Hon. Uwajumogu has not
\nstopped carrying his responsibilities to his party since he emerged
\nspeaker.<\/p>\n

FACT NO 5
\nSince the Professor insists that he has watched both the
\naudio and video tapes of Speaker Uwajumogu\u2019s defection to another
\nparty, I am challenging him to make those tapes available. Pray, this
\nProfessor from hell must be one of those that blackmailed the
\nExecutive Governor of Abia State with computer-manipulated pictures
\nand tapes showing and portraying him as an occult grand master
\nperforming initiation rites and oath taking. In this era of computer
\nfirm tricks, there is no doubt that Professor Nathan Uzorma Protus and
\nhis sponsors have applied their trademark once again.<\/p>\n

FACT NO 6
\nRt. Hon. Uwajumogu as a practicing Christian cannot and has never
\ninvolved himself in Voodoo practices. His able and equally vibrant
\ncolleagues saw in him, a focused and practical leader who has the
\ninterest and progress of Imo State House of Assembly at heart. Having
\nobserved Speaker Uwajumogu and his honest style of leadership, the
\nnumber of people oriented bills and motions, and of course the turn
\naround maintenance and renovation going on within the Assembly
\ncomplex, they Honourable members on their own (without anybody
\nprompting them) passed a vote of implicit confidence on Rt. Hon. Chief
\nBenjamine Uwajumogu. The first on was in December 2011 by Hon. Dr. Sam
\ndaddy Anyanwu while the second one was by Hon. Barrister Gregory
\nOkemili in February 2013.
\nFor this Professor from Hell to show disdain for Speaker Uwajumogu\u2019s
\nacceptability and suitability among his colleagues, indicates that he
\nand\u00a0 his Sponsors are not happy with the rising profile of the vibrant
\nand ebullient Speaker.<\/p>\n

FACT NO. 7
\nSince Rt. Hon. Uwajumogu won his election as member representing
\nIhitte\/Uboma State Constituency under his Party, the PDP, he does not
\nneed to parade with any fake PDP membership card and INEC knows this
\nmuch and cannot declare his seat vacant on mere allegations.<\/p>\n

FACT NO. 8
\nAll the records including audio and video tapes at the state Assembly
\nare verifiable documents. For Professor Nathan to allege that they
\nhave been mutilated shows the extent he and his paymasters have gone
\nto dent the image of the Rt. Hon. Speaker. This particular allegation
\nwill not lie low. Professor Nathan Uzorma will be officially invited
\n(summoned) to the Assembly to prove this allegation. The law will come
\nheavily upon him if he fails to prove this allegation. (I will
\npersonally see to this).<\/p>\n

FACT NO 9
\nRt. Hon. Uwajumogu as a peace loving man has never threatened anybody
\nin his life, talkless of members of his party, the PDP. Even the
\npublishers of IMO TRUMPETA newspapers, the platform Professor Nathan
\nuses to allege the unimaginable know that speaker Uwajumogu is a peace
\nloving man.<\/p>\n

Final fact \u2013 The Imo State House of Assembly under the able and
\nvisionary leadership of speaker Uwajumogu is the most productive and
\nproactive State Assembly in Nigeria. We have made so many People
\nOriented laws and motions that have continued to benefit the common
\nman in the society. The activities of the Assembly can be assessed on
\nthe internet, blogs, Face book, National Newspapers, Local Newspapers,
\nand Magazines and on the streets of Imo State by the people of Imo
\nState. The achievements of His Excellency Owelle Rochas Okorocha could
\nnot have been possible if the Uwajumogu led House of Assembly have not
\nbeen collaborating and cooperating with the executive. Even the
\nMinister for Information (Mr. Labaran Maku)\u00a0 in his recent good
\ngovernance tour to the state expressed great joy, happiness and
\nsupport for the state government due to what he physically saw on
\nground in the state.<\/p>\n

Rt. Hon. Benjamin Uwajumogu will continue to lead his colleagues at
\nthe Assembly in Lawmaking, Appropriation and Oversight functions. Now
\nthat I am in my full element; the likes of Professor Nathan Uzorma
\nProtus and their Sponsors will never be allowed to distract and
\ndisturb this vibrant and ebullient Speaker of our time.<\/p>\n

Imo must continue to be better.
