We have seen the posters. Every election season, men rise and tell us who they are. Then the rain comes, and we remember who they were not.

This time, listen to someone who has been building while others were talking.

Chief Charles Orie is not asking you for a chance to start learning Imo’s problems.

He has been in the rooms where those problems are solved. As an engineer, an entrepreneur, and a son of Imo who refused to build his future only outside its borders, he knows the cost of bad roads in Orlu, the silence of empty factories in Okigwe, and the frustration of young people in Owerri who have degrees but no direction.

But knowing is not enough. He acted.

While politics was a career for some, it was a responsibility for him. He built businesses that hired Imo sons and daughters. He invested in communities without waiting for a campaign season. He fixed what was broken even when no camera was there. That is the difference between a politician and a statesman. One works for applause. The other works because the work will not do itself.

What makes Chief Charles Orie different is not his CV. It is his covenant with Imo.

1. He understands that governance is engineering.

A state is a system. Roads, power, schools, hospitals, and jobs are not separate issues. They are connected pipes in one machine. Chief Charles Orie has spent his life designing systems that work under pressure. He will not throw money at problems. He will design solutions that last beyond one administration.

2. He has nothing to prove to Abuja and everything to prove to you.

He is not a career political broker. He is a son returning home with results, not promises. His loyalty is not for sale because it was never bought.

3. He sees Imo’s youth as assets, not a problem to manage.

The greatest mineral in Imo is not oil. It is the mind of the 22-year-old who wakes up with nothing but WiFi and an idea.Chief Charles Orie’s plan is to turn Imo into the place where that idea becomes a company, not a reason to leave.

I know what you are thinking. “They all say this.”

They do. But how many of them have built something with their own hands and money before asking for yours? How many have walked away from easier lives abroad to come back and fix the place they call home?

Imo does not need another governor who remembers us every four years.

Imo needs a governor who never forgot us.

On election day, you have two choices: vote for a title or vote for a track record.

Signed:

State Woman Leader, Charles Orie Progressive Movement.

(A woman who is tired of Empty promises.)

[3

post-49320","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-frontpage
"1536x1536":"","2048x2048":"
["Imo Trumpeta
["GET
