\u2014 Party congratulates him on the Inauguration of his Campaign Council<\/p>\n

The Imo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) asserts with conviction that Rt. Hon. Jones Onyereri PhD is the best candidate for the Imo West Senatorial election in 2027, given his character, exposure, legislative experience and unassailable achievements in the zone.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The party, therefore, formally congratulates him on the inauguration of a formidable Senatorial Campaign Council to drive the campaigns and his expected election as Senator representing Imo West (Orlu Zone) at the Senate.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Clearly, Onyereri comes with a wealth of legislative experience from representing the Nkerre\/Isu\/Nwangele\/Njaba Federal Constituency for eight years. It was a tenure filled with tangible achievements, added to his visibility and vital contributions in terms of bills and motions on the floor of the National Assembly, which made the Constituency one of the leading Federal Constituencies in Nigeria at the time.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Among his many tangible achievements, too numerous to mention, he ensured the provision and energising of transformers in at least 25 communities, the construction of eight school blocks, as well as the construction and reconstruction of civic centres.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
These were in addition to scholarship awards to ten (10) students of International Model School, Umundugba, Isu LGA; a Central Bank of Nigeria intervention project at Owerre-Nkworji Girls Secondary School, Nkwerre LGA; the provision of a 50-computer ICT centre at Saint Augustine Grammar School, Nkwerre LGA, by the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation; the provision of an ICT centre at the Nwangele LGA Council Headquarters; the facilitation of jobs for hundreds of youths; and many other achievements.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
An experienced lawmaker, Onyereri has proven well enough that he is a tested grassroots politician and accomplished leader with a tremendous connection with the people. It takes a politician who knows the way to the hearts of his people to remain relevant and continue to wax strong despite leaving office seven years ago, even amid electoral disappointments in 2019 and 2023. His achievements, which we are proud of as a party, speak for themselves.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Onyereri’s candidature offers the people of Imo West an opportunity to elect a Senator they can connect with, and who is endowed with the capacity, experience and commitment to effectively represent their interests at the National Assembly.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The party, therefore, charges the Campaign Council, party leaders and all members to take the message of a new beginning to every ward, community and polling unit across Orlu Zone, and to extensively mobilise and deliver.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
With the PDP having the structure and depth, and our candidate bringing the experience and goodwill of the people, we are poised for a resounding victory in Imo West in 2027.<\/p>\n
