In his words \u201cTo be frank with you I hate watching football matches but not that I don&#8217;t like the game\u201d. The question now is can somebody like a game he\/she hates to watch.<\/p>\n<p>Okorocha did not stop there, he went further to state his reason \u201cit is unacceptable to me that millions of people will be watching, cheering and supporting and at the end of the match only the players will be celebrated and rewarded\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, Okorocha&#8217;s infamous and inglorious statement came at a time when the entire state and the nation at large were enmeshed in a record breaking football embarrassment of all time, caused by the inability of Heartland FC of Owerri (for the first time in their history) to honour a Confederation Cup match against US Bitam of Gabon due to logistic lapses.<\/p>\n<p>That\u00a0 statement, some of the audience observed did not only indict the government over the plight and predicament of the club but also exonerated the management of the club of any financial inaction, on the welfare of the players for it is said that one can not give what he does not have.<\/p>\n<p>With the statement, the football loving people at the state now know why their darling club has been subjected to such harsh condition inspite of their recent exploits in the Nigerian Federation Cup and the premier league big four, However it is a well established truth that no human supports, funds or encourages a spot\/game he\/she hates to watch.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \\<\/p>\n<p><strong>About 150 Teams To Take Part In Imo Rescue Mission Traders\/Artisans <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Tournament, As Legislators, EXCOS Clash On May 18<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>ndications are that about 150 teams drawn from various Traders\/Artisans associations are inching to take part in the forthcoming Rescue Mission football competition.<\/p>\n<p>The tournament is designed to celebrate two years of Owelle Rochas Okorocha&#8217;s Rescue Mission Program in Imo State.<\/p>\n<p>A release from the Local Organizing Committee chairman, Mr. Ndubuisi Opara informs that after the general meeting which is slated for today April 26 at the Grasshoppers International Stadium, Owerri, the draws for the competition will be made on Thursday, May 2.<\/p>\n<p>He then continued that with all things being equal, the competition is expected to kick off on Saturday May 4th at the various zones.<\/p>\n<p>Opara who once played he&#8217;s football in South Africa also stated that the novelty Match between the State Legislators and the Executives will see the Rt.
