ASocio-cultural organization in Owerri Federal Constituency, Oganihu Owerri Club of Nigeria has sounded it loud and clear that come 2015 an Imo Governor from Owerri Federal Constituency is non-negotiable.
\nIn a communique issued at the end of the meeting of the political committee of the club, Ogainhu Owere stated that the time has come when the political interest and rightful place of the Owereman in the political permutation of Imo state must be asserted.
\nThe communique which was signed by the President of Oganihu Owere, Dr. Sam Onyekuru, Chief Elvis Anumodu, the Chairman of the political committee, and Nze James Chinagorom the secretary further disclosed that the people of Owerri Federal Constituency are more than ever consciously working towards occupying the Governorship throne of Imo state, come 2015.
\nOganihu Owere club noted that the dynamics of Imo politics gives credence to the reality that unless zoning system is sustained, there may be a continued Governorship imbalance capable of engendering disharmony in the polity.
\nWhile congratulating the Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha on his numerous achievements in office, Oganihu Owere urged him to remain the gentle man he is, by keeping his promise of a single tenure and also to support an Owere man, from Owerri federal constituency to take over from him, come 2015.
\nAccording to the Chairman of the political committee of Ogaidnhu Owere, Chief Elvis Anumodu who read the communique “come 2015, Imo state Governor from Owerri federal constituency must emerge. We urge all political parties in Imo state to focus their searchlight for credible candidates on Owerri Federal Constituency”.
\nChief Elvis Anumodu stated further “Oganihu Owere will continue to defend the political interest of Nde Owere in the Imo socio-political environment,
\nthrough progressive constructive and persuasive approaches and agitations on critical issues that concern Ndi Owere”.
\nThe group restated its commitment to the issues arrived at the 13 annual world Owere people’s congress held in the USA. It also resolved to support the Izu Owere, a well defined goal and agenda to speak with one voice, while urging Nde Owere to unite into one formidable and united entity.
\nOn the economic and cultural development of the Owere man, Oganihu stated further “Oganihu Owere resolved to galvanize support for Owere federal constituency and for the political survival of Owere man, champion socioeconomic andpolitical development of Owere”.
\nOganihu Owere also boasted that Owere federal constituency parades a good number of high profiled and successful men and women who are thorough breed politicians, experts, technocrats and captains of industries, who have the zeal to contest the Governorship position and also have the capacity to give Imo people selfless and qualitative leadership if elected Governor, come 2015.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
