PC Onuoha came into politics during the Nigerian Peoples Party NPP days, under which platform he went to the Imo House of Assembly then. His contemporaries include the likes of late Dr Toti Ufere Toti, of the Otanchara\/Otanzu constituency of yore. Then late Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe was the Presidential candidate of NPP, with Chief Obafemi Awolowo of UPN, and Alhaji Waziri Ibrahim of Great Nigeria Peoples Party GNPP. Remember politics without bitterness!
\nSince then, Nze PC Onuoha has remained a recurring decimal in the politics of Imo. He remained close to power during the Enwerem and Udenwa era, except may be the Ohakim regime.
