\nA bizarre incident was witnessed on Sunday the 20th of October, 2013 at about 0722 hours when a robbery gang numbering about four stormed and attacked a cold room located at no 11 Uratta Street, Owerri Municipal Council, close to Arugo Hotel. The robbers armed with three Ak 47 riffles allegedly shot and killed a police guard stationed at the Cold Room.
\nSources revealed that the armed men who came with a vehicle ambushed the policemen before firing several shots at him. Operating in a Commando Style, the criminals after killing the police, shot sporadically into the air before disposing customers and other money valued at N30 million.
\nIt was disclosed that there have been attacks on that same cold room for about four times but now they succeeded in taking away a huge amount of money and killing the guard, leaving the lifeless body lying there for hours.
