The peace enjoyed by residents of Owerri and environ was shattered at the weekend when dare-devil kidnappers stormed Orogwe in Owerri West LGA and kidnapped a businessman simply known as Charles.
\nAccording to an eyewitness, the victim was nabbed and whisked away at Graziella suites, situated along Owerri\/Onitsha road at about 1.30 pm last Friday.
\nAccording to the hotel supervisor who spoke to Trumpeta on condition of anonymity, said he will not speak on the matter in order not to compound issues for the kidnapped victim who is now in his abductor’s den. He declined to give further details on the matter. But further information obtained by this newspaper was that the abductors numbering about four were fully armed with Ak47 riffles and invaded the hotel and ordered everyone to lie face down. In the process, they made away with their victim to an unknown destination.
