Worried at the level of terrorism in the entire African continent, the Pan African Parliament has sought for the urgent regional solution that will address the menace as well as prevent recruitments by terrorist groups in the entire African sub-region.
\nThis was part of the resolutions and recommendations of PAP during its third ordinary session held in Midrand, Johannesburg in the Republic of South Africa.
\nChaired by PAP President, His Excellency Rt Hon Bethel Amadi, the meeting expressed delight that despite all obstacles that the Kenyan March, 2013 general elections was peaceful and fruitful.
\nContinuing, PAP said that conscious of the fact that terrorism is a threat to peace and security in the East African sub region as well as in the Horn of Africa, the meeting recommends that the United Nations organization and the African Union should impose sanctions on any country proved in the destabilization of its neighbours.
\nAccordingly the conference recommends, \u201cInvite the Members of Parliament to urge their respective governments to put institutions in place for climate financing and renewable energy. Expand REFIT and other positive policy incentives to the rest of Africa to assist the development and refinement of policy options to prepare African countries for the transition to sustainable renewable energy.
\nInvite Heinrich Boll stiffing, the climate parliament, the world future council and other relevant patterns to convene a special Pan African Parliament (PAP) meeting, to continue providing support to PAP to continue to facilitate an annual meeting as a follow up to address the issue of climate change in Africa\u201d.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
