The President of Imo Foot Wear, Leather and Allied Shoe Manufacturing Association (IFWLASMA), based in Abia state, Elder Innocent has urged the government of Imo state to provide it an enabling environment in order to come back and render qualitative service to Imolites.<\/p>\n

He stated this in a discussion programme on Hot 99.5 FM Radio tagged: \u201cspot light\u201d, adding that it has been the desire of the association to come back and provide Imo people, original foot wears\u00a0\u00a0 and shoes comparable to what they produce at Power line Market in Abia state.<\/p>\n

On whether the Association is ready to relocate to Naze Industrial Market and set up its manufacturing company, Innocent stressed that members will not hesitate to move to Naze bearing in mind how dear Imo state is to them but decried a situation whereby they resort to electricity – generators as a result of irregular power supply and urged the state government to look into the matter.<\/p>\n

The President enumerated items they produce to include various kinds of men and ladies shoes, ladies bags, belts, sandals slin spon and boots, maintaining that one other challenge they have is inadequate fund and implored the government to assist them.\u00a0 He however lauded the state government for the much it has given to the association so far but opined that much more needs to be done regarding funding.<\/p>\n

Contributing to the programme, Prince Eke and George Eze commended the association for its good job while advocating that the Imo Foot Wear, Leather and Allied Shoes Manufacturing Association be given the contract of producing Primary School pupils\u2019 shoes, bags and sandals especially now that the government of Owelle Rochas Okorocha is embarking on the project.<\/p>\n

In his final comment, Elder Innocent opined that the manufacturing group has been doing its best possibly by ensuring that it produces nothing more less than original and durable foot wears for the public, alleging that the manufacturing company is capable of employing thousands of people.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
