The Imo State Commissioner for Internal Resources and Pension matters, Hon. Nike Oparandudu, stated that His Excellency Governor Rochas Okorocha has done so much for Imo youths by employing over 25,000 unemployed youths against the 10,000 job of past administration.
\nThe Commissioner disclosed this during a courtesy call by Youth Media Network (YMN) at his office in Owerri. During an interactive session with the commissioner, where he said \u201cevery policy succeeds in its impact and its continuation on the basis of what the public considers good in such policy\u201d, as such the youth employment programme by the governor is relevant and beneficial to Imolites and will be protected by the people of Imo state to ensure its continuity in the future. He stated that the government is working towards ensuring that the 25,000 employed youths are accommodated into the Civil Service Commission of Imo State.
\nThe Hon. Commissioner further stated that Governor Rochas Okorocha has risen up to the challenges of pensioners in the state, in terms of committing resources towards the payments of gratuities and pensions, adding that the way forward to attain efficiency in pension management is through the private sector pension management.
\nEarlier in his statement the Commissioner disclosed his intension to run for the 2015 Senatorial position and applauded YMN for their interest in preventing the challenges of neglect by elected office holders, and hold political office seekers accountable for the future of Imo youths. He noted that the platform should engage political office seekers on their intensions for the youths when elected into office so as to hold them accountable on the basis of their commitment to good governance as he said that the absence of accountable governance in the country have concertedly hindered good dividends of democracy.

Emma Duru reeled-out the aims and objectives of the Association, which he said is centered on pro-efficient journalism assured the Imo State Commissioner for Internal Resources and Pension matters, Hon.
