\nThe Governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha has told the Deputy Speaker of House of Representatives, who is also a son of Imo State, Hon Emeka Ihedioha to stop distracting his administration with frivolous accusations, which he said are delivered said without proper investigations.
\nBut the Deputy Speaker speaking through one of his Aides said no person in a democratic environment can stop him from commenting about the ugly condition of things in his state of origin.
\nIn a release signed by Governor Okorocha’s Special Assistant on Media, Mr Sam Onwuemedo, it was said that Ihedioha’s allegation that the Okorocha’s administration has borrowed (N130B) one hundred and thirty Billion Naira was false, which contradicts the earlier allegation by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP that Okorocha has incurred N250 billion debt since he assumed office in 2011
\nOkorocha went on to say that Ihedioha has been attacking his administration since (Ihedioha) joined the 2015 governorship race as if his manifesto for Imo people is to criticize his government.
\n\u201cFor instance, less than 24 hours after the state government had dethroned Eze Cletus Ilomuanya as Traditional Ruler of his Obinugwu Autonomous Community and Eze Cosmos Onyeneke as Traditional Ruler of Lagwa, the first person in the state to attack the Governor on that was Hon Ihedioha and he did that without having proper information on the incident\u201d, Okorocha said.
\nOkorocha went on to say that before it could recover from that attack, Ihedioha threw another bomb by accusing his administration of incurring a debt of N130b.
\n\u201cAgain, on Wednesday June 11, 2014, Hon Ihedioha accused the Governor in the media of having incurred N130b internal debts, which contradicted his party’s earlier claim of N250b debt\u201d.
\nMeanwhile, an Aide to the Deputy Speaker who spoke to Trumpeta said his Boss, Ihedioha does not comment off the handle like Okorocha who does things without considering its consequences, rule of law or due process, pointing out that Okorocha has set Imo state back to the extent that whoever will succeed him in 2015 has a herculean task to put Imo proper again.
\nIhedioha made it clear that as a leader and stakeholder in the state, he cannot keep quiet while things go bad, as posterity will not forgive him.
\n\u201cWhich manner of Governor does not obey court order, including openly confessing that he does not like due process otherwise called protocol. Imo is in trouble and PDP will \u201crescue\u201d the state next year from a rudderless administration that does not respect the masses\u201d Ihedioha said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
