A former commissioner who served in Okorocha’s cabinet, and Deputy National Chairman of APGA (South) Chief Sir Chris Ejike Uche (KSJI) has declared that his former political soul mate, Owelle Rochas Okorocha has no capacity to witch hunt perceived opponents engaging in constructive critisms about his administration.
\nSpeaking after being honoured by the Owerri Archdiocese Catholic Men Organisation (OACCMO) and the Archdiocese with a special award as grand patron for his selfless. Contribution to the growth of Christianity and the church, Sir Ejike Uche noted that the suspected tactics being adopted to suppress the opposition cannot work out in Imo adding that no amount of intimidation will stop people from condemning wrong aspects of his administration.
\nSir Ejike Uche who was in charge of Housing and urban development noted that the recent reported case of threat to lives of Uche Ogbuagu, remarks by celebrated columnist Prof Protus Uzoma Nathan and another former appointee, High Chief Henry Njoku claiming that their lives are in danger by pointing accusing fingers at one direction, shows plans to cow the opposition in the state by the present administration.
\nAccording to him, the beauty of democracy is to allow people air their views on any issue of public importance than adopting anti-democratic measures.
\nSir Ejike Uche regretted that some unknown persons using fictitious numbers have been bombarding his phone with threat calls and messages.
\nEjike Uche requested the governor to have a rethink about his political life stating that his rumoured move to another party from his present APC indicates that Okorocha should go on soul searching for political survival.
\nOn APGA, the Deputy chairman noted that there will be light at the end of the tunnel for the party at the end of the Supreme Court where issue of party leadership is gaining attention. Speaking further, Ejike Uche noted that a rejuvenated APGA will appear at the end of the squabbles.
