The misfortune befalling present members of the Imo State House of Assembly since the 2015 general elections commenced continued at the weekend when the state lawmakers who wanted a return bid failed woefully.
\nExcept for the member representing Nwangele state constituency, Ugonna Ozuruigbo, (OZB) who got a second chance opportunity, others seeking a return were unsuccessful.
\nIt would be recalled that the Speaker, Rt Hon Ben Uwajumogu, his Deputy, Donatus Ozoemena, Dan Ikpeazu, and Stan Dara had earlier failed in their bids to get a seat at the National Assembly Abuja, for their respective constituencies.
\nReports reaching Trumpeta office indicate that Kingsley Dimaku and Robertson Ekwebelem of Ehime Mbano and Onuimo LGAs respectively both of PDP bowed to Lawman Duruji and Chinedu Offor of the APC while Chino Obioha of Njaba also of PDP vacated his seat for a woman, Mrs Uju Onwudiwe of APC.
\nIn Owerri zone, member representing Owerri Municipality, Victor Mere of APGA crashed as a former leader of Owerri Municipal Legislative Council, Lugard Osuji of APC had an upper hand.
