\nThe acting Vice Chancellor of Imo State University Prof (Mrs) Adobi Obasi has cleared the air on the controversies that trailed the Aptitude test in the institution.
\nIn a chat with Trumpeta news reporter Wednesday, the Vice Chancellor disclosed that the examination was made public and all the candidates were informed earlier before now, adding that there are no bases for any of them to complain on the date slated for the exams.
\n\u201cIt is not my fault if any candidate missed his or her exams. I never planned to witch-hunt anybody\u201d the VC explained.
\nSpeaking further, she disclosed that one NTA staff who forgot the examination date came to complain. According to the V.C the NTA bought the form like other and was given the date to come and take her exam unfortunately she could not come.
\nProfessor Adaobi Obasi explained that the aptitude test of her school was conducted and supervised by a consultant from Enugu in Enugu state in her effort to avoid meddlesomeness she made it clear that the school authority adequately made the dates for the test public and blamed those who missed it for being architect of their own future.
\nShe maintained that transparency and the rule of law will always be her guiding principle in the discharge of her duties. She added that his dream for the institution is to make it the best among state universities in the country.
\n\u201cI cannot go to people’s houses to start calling them to come for their exams\u201d said the Vice Chancellor, who further explained that IMSU is one of the last universities to conduct aptitude test in Nigeria even as she agreed that her school is the most subscribed university. \u201cThose who took the examination yesterday were over 800 and the test is expected to continue today we were reliably informed. IMSU for now is having over 550 computers for the aptitude test\u201d
\n Some of those who missed their exams had to shed tears as their hope of gaining admission into the university has been shattered. \u201cIt is so painful missing this exam\u201d the aggrieved candidates cried out.
