By Ibezim Samuel<\/em><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The 2013 Annual Odenigbo lecture of Owerri Catholic Archdiocese would be delivered by Prof. Peter Ejiofor from Anambra state with theme, \u201cIgbo Progress:\u00a0 The Stand of Igbo language\u201d.\u00a0 The Odenigbo founder, Archbishop Anthony Obinna, announced this shortly after the successful delivery of 2012 Odenigbo lecture by Bishop Lucius Ugorji with the theme, \u201cThe Church:\u00a0 A unifying force between God and Man\u201d.<\/p>\n Archbishop Obinna said that Odenigbo lecture promotes Igbo culture and sensitize Igbolites on the need to embrace peace and unite to preserve Igbo pride.<\/p>\n Earlier at the 2012 Odenigbo lecture, the lecturer, Bishop Ugorji said that sins of Adam and Eve, Cain and our fore fathers made God to turn away from us, but God been a merciful immortal, sent Jesus Christ to bridge that gap and restore us back to God.\u00a0 He affirmed that God\u2019s church established by Jesus Christ is the only route of communication between God and man.\u00a0 He stated that the destruction of the Tower of Babel by God in the book of Genesis Chapter 11:1-9, brought division and different languages on earth for millions of centuries until Christ through the Pentecost Sunday, made the church a holy gathering that imbibes the culture and language of every nation in the world.\u00a0 Bishop Ugorji enjoined all to be evangelists for God in different fields of work and use Igbo language and culture to serve God and humanity.\u00a0 He finally admonished all to live in the word of God and be an integral part of the church and not followers.<\/p>\n The Imo SSG represented Gov. Okorocha with other representatives from the Igbo states.\u00a0 The event was also witnessed by Former Minister of interior, Capt.
