<\/a><\/p>\nBy Thompson Agu in Abuja<\/strong><\/p>\n In a swift response to the defection of members of Governor Rochas Okorocha\u2019s political family, known as Rescue Mission from APC to Action Alliance, AA, the ruling party has dismissed the capacity of the State governor by claiming that it can win Imo without his inputs.<\/p>\n Reacting to the defection stories of followers of Okorocha and Ogun State governor, Ibikunle Amosun who are aggrieved over the outcome of the primaries, the National Chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomole insisted that the popularity of the ruling party in Imo and Ogun State would ensure victory for APC despite the alleged anti-party activities of the governors.<\/p>\n Reports gathered from Abuja online has it that, the national chairman expressed confidence of winning Imo.<\/p>\n Said he \u201cIn Imo State today, APC will win more votes. My focus is on ordinary Imo voters because on that day, the governor would have only one vote, his son-in-law would have only one vote while his Commissioner for Happiness would have only one vote\u201d<\/p>\n Speaking about Imo, Oshiomole added that artisans, traders, teachers and workers whose salaries are not being paid have the same weight of vote and they are excited about the renewed possibility of a\u00a0 new government coming with fresh ideas, free of all the encumbrances of the present system. \u201cSo I am very confident\u201d, he stated.<\/p>\n The former Edo State governor described the governors including Okorocha as \u201cpoor students of their own history who had forgotten they lost elections before winning on the platform of the APC.<\/p>\n \u201cWhether you are a big or small man, the rules are not supposed to discriminate, our popularity in Imo and Ogun today is much higher. It is not that once you are a governor, you have high electoral value.
