While dismissing the claims\u00a0as a baseless, lawless and wicked concoction by a paid agent, the Hope Uzodimma Campaign\u00a0Organization dismissed the inclusion of the Senator\u2019s name in the\u00a0list as wrong, saying \u201cit was a baseless and lawless action, citing a\u00a0persisting court order which restrained the Panel Chairman from\u00a0investigating the Senator as evidence\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>A statement in Owerri by the Director of Media and Special Duties of\u00a0the Hope Uzodimma Campaign Organization, Declan M. Emelumba\u00a0said it was clear that Chief Obla is a paid agent working for political\u00a0opponents of the APC candidate because according to him, inspite of\u00a0a persisting court order restraining him from any further action\u00a0against the Senator, he (Obla) went ahead to include his name in the\u00a0list \u201cjust to satisfy his Pay Masters\u201d. According to the statement \u201cOn November 23, 2018 Justice A.T.\u00a0Mohammed of the Federal High Court in Port Harcourt in suit No\u00a0FHC\/PH\/FHR\/211\/2018 gave an order restraining the Special\u00a0Presidential Investigation Panel for the Recovery of Public Funds; from doing anything pertaining to the contract between NPA and\u00a0Niger Global, which was the basis of the panels claim that it was\u00a0investigating the Senator\u2019s company, Niger Global\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The statement explained that the court order was served on Chief\u00a0Obla and was followed with a letter to him from the Senator\u2019s\u00a0lawyer, Barr. Ogaju Dike, drawing his attention to the order and\u00a0wondered why he went ahead to disobey a valid court order if he did\u00a0not have ulterior motives.<\/p>\n<p>The statement further said, \u201cWe are aware that Chief Obla is on the pay roll of the Senator\u2019s\u00a0political opponents who are using him to sabotage his campaign for\u00a0the governorship of Imo State. We know them. But Obla in not\u00a0above the law, so even as desperate as he is to please his pay\u00a0master, he should obey court orders, if he is truly an agent of the\u00a0Federal government.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs further prove that the Panel Chairman is working for the\u00a0opposition, the statement recalled that he first started by accusing\u00a0the APC flag bearer of not declaring assets then shifted to the\u00a0Calabar channel contract when the assets issue collapsed on his\u00a0face.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhy is Obla so desperate to smear the Senator\u2019s image and why\u00a0does he strike just on the eve of a major political event of the\u00a0Senator? His first action was on the eve of last day of substitution of\u00a0candidates by INEC.
