Members\u00a0of\u00a0Association\u00a0of\u00a0Good\u00a0Governance\u00a0Imo\u00a0State\u00a0Chapter\u00a0have\u00a0brought\u00a0a\u00a0law-suit\u00a0to\u00a0disqualify\u00a0the\u00a0Imo\u00a0State\u00a0governorship\u00a0candidate\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0All\u00a0Progressives\u00a0Congress\u00a0(APC)\u00a0Senator\u00a0Hope\u00a0Uzodinma\u00a0from\u00a0vying\u00a0for\u00a0and\u00a0occupying\u00a0the\u00a0position\u00a0of\u00a0governor\u00a0of\u00a0Imo\u00a0State. In\u00a0suit\u00a0number\u00a0HAM\/53\/2019\u00a0filed\u00a0in\u00a0the\u00a0Imo\u00a0State\u00a0High\u00a0Court\u00a0Ahiazu\u00a0Mbaise\u00a0Judicial\u00a0Division,\u00a0the\u00a0group\u00a0among\u00a0other\u00a0things,\u00a0is\u00a0alleging\u00a0that\u00a0there\u00a0is\u00a0a\u00a0Warrant\u00a0of\u00a0Arrest\u00a0issued\u00a0by\u00a0the\u00a0Grade\u00a01\u00a0Area\u00a0Court\u00a0Kubwa\u00a0Abuja\u00a0for\u00a0the\u00a0arrest\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0senator\u00a0for\u00a0alleged\u00a0issuance\u00a0of\u00a0a\u00a0dud\u00a0cheque\u00a0to\u00a0some\u00a0persons\u00a0by\u00a0the\u00a0senator\u00a0which\u00a0the\u00a0police\u00a0is\u00a0yet\u00a0to\u00a0execute.\u00a0Further\u00a0in\u00a0the\u00a0suit,\u00a0the\u00a0plaintiffs\u00a0are\u00a0alleging\u00a0that\u00a0the\u00a0senator\u00a0embezzled\u00a0$12.5\u00a0million\u00a0contract\u00a0sum\u00a0meant\u00a0for\u00a0a\u00a0Federal\u00a0Government\u00a0dredging\u00a0contract\u00a0and\u00a0was\u00a0indicted\u00a0by\u00a0a\u00a0Presidential\u00a0Investigative\u00a0Panel\u00a0over\u00a0the\u00a0contract.\u00a0Other\u00a0are\u00a0that\u00a0the\u00a0senator\u00a0who\u00a0is\u00a0sued\u00a0as\u00a0the\u00a01st\u00a0Defendant,\u00a0attempted\u00a0to\u00a0bribe\u00a0a\u00a0judge\u00a0of\u00a0an\u00a0Abuja\u00a0High\u00a0Court\u00a0including\u00a0other\u00a0series\u00a0of\u00a0allegations\u00a0of\u00a0code\u00a0of\u00a0conduct\u00a0and\u00a0financial\u00a0crimes.\u00a0The\u00a0plaintiffs\u00a0are\u00a0claiming\u00a0that\u00a0if\u00a0elected\u00a0governor,\u00a0the\u00a0senator\u00a0would\u00a0embezzle\u00a0resources\u00a0for\u00a0the\u00a0development\u00a0of\u00a0Imo\u00a0State\u00a0and\u00a0also\u00a0that\u00a0the\u00a0alleged\u00a0questionable\u00a0character\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0senator\u00a0would\u00a0scare\u00a0away\u00a0investors\u00a0from\u00a0the\u00a0state. The\u00a0group\u00a0is\u00a0therefore\u00a0praying\u00a0the\u00a0court\u00a0to\u00a0declare\u00a0that\u00a0the\u00a0senator\u00a0is\u00a0not\u00a0a\u00a0fit-and-proper\u00a0person\u00a0to\u00a0be\u00a0governor\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0state\u00a0and\u00a0for\u00a0an\u00a0order\u00a0on\u00a0the\u00a0Independent\u00a0National\u00a0Electoral\u00a0Commission\u00a0(INEC)\u00a0to\u00a0remove\u00a0the\u00a0name\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0senator\u00a0as\u00a0a\u00a0governorship\u00a0candidate.\u00a0Other\u00a0prayers\u00a0are\u00a0for\u00a0an\u00a0order\u00a0compelling\u00a0the\u00a0Economic\u00a0and\u00a0Financial\u00a0Crimes\u00a0Commission\u00a0to\u00a0investigate\u00a0the\u00a0allegations\u00a0of\u00a0financial\u00a0crimes\u00a0against\u00a0the\u00a0senator\u00a0and\u00a0for\u00a0the\u00a0police\u00a0to\u00a0arrest\u00a0the\u00a0senator\u00a0and\u00a0arraign\u00a0him\u00a0in\u00a0the\u00a0said\u00a0Abuja\u00a0Area\u00a0Court\u00a0as\u00a0ordered\u00a0by\u00a0the\u00a0Area\u00a0Court. Recently,\u00a0when\u00a0the\u00a0case\u00a0came\u00a0up\u00a0for\u00a0hearing,\u00a0the\u00a0court\u00a0ordered\u00a0that\u00a0the\u00a0suit\u00a0be\u00a0published\u00a0in\u00a0the\u00a0newspapers\u00a0as\u00a0a\u00a0proper\u00a0mode\u00a0of\u00a0service\u00a0on\u00a0the\u00a0defendants.\u00a0INEC,\u00a0the\u00a0Nigeria\u00a0Police\u00a0and\u00a0EFCC\u00a0are\u00a0also\u00a0defendants\u00a0in\u00a0the\u00a0suit.
