The Imo State Chapter of the Social Democratic Party, SDP \u00a0has reaffirmed that \u00a0Sir Okey Ezeh remains its undisputed Candidate for the Governorship Election in the State ahead of the forthcoming general election ,noting that no court invalidated his mandate.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Ogbuefi \u00a0Val Amafile ,the Imo State chairman of the Social Democratic Party ,SDP who spoke on behalf of the party State Working Committee ,SWC dismissed insinuation that the judgment of Federal High Court sitting in \u00a0Owerri on Tuesday 5th March 2019 \u00a0sacked Mr Okey Ezeh as governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Imo state.<\/p>\n

He said \u00a0expressed optimism that Appeal Court would \u00a0set aside the judgment of 5th March 2019, for which he said a Notice of Appeal was issued to his opponent.<\/p>\n

Emefile appealed to the people of Imo State ,particularly Sir Ezeh’s supporters to remain calm and peaceful hoping \u00a0that justice would be served in a short while.<\/p>\n

In reaction to his \u00a0purported \u00a0sack, Sir Okey Ezeh, an Investment Banker expressed disbelief in the judgment of Justice Tijjani Ringim , \u00a0adding that he was certain that they weren’t going to get unbiased judgement .He said he had appealed the decision after further deliberations.<\/p>\n

Okey Ezeh pointed out that \u00a0apart from being the undisputed and popular Governorship Candidate of SDP in Imo State, that \u00a0his party SDP and himself stand out. We have gone round the 27 council area of Imo and the reception received was awesome, he averred.<\/p>\n

According to Ezeh who described Anyanwu as an interloper without any political \u00a0platform ,”SDP as a political party has every right to determine his party candidate .I won’t allow myself to be distracted judgment, even though we have applied for stay of action but I remain the duly elected gubernatorial candidate of SDP in Imo”<\/p>\n
