{"id":26915,"date":"2019-12-18T19:05:52","date_gmt":"2019-12-18T19:05:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.imotrumpeta.com\/?p=26915"},"modified":"2019-12-18T19:05:52","modified_gmt":"2019-12-18T19:05:52","slug":"xmas-imo-govt-bans-masquerade","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.imotrumpeta.com\/?p=26915","title":{"rendered":"Xmas,\u00a0 Imo Govt Bans Masquerade"},"content":{"rendered":"<div dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.imotrumpeta.com\/?attachment_id=26916\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-26916\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-26916\" src=\"http:\/\/www.imotrumpeta.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/masqurade.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"251\" height=\"201\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">By Okey Alozie<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">In line with the rebuild agenda of Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha Governor of Imo State, Masquerade has been banned in the major roads of Owerri and sister communities.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">This was made known by Hon Ikechukwu Ohiri who is incharge of Imo Traffic Management Authority.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">During his visit to various communities in Owerri, Emekuku and Egbu, the Chief Traffic officer said any masquerade that is seen along the major roads in Imo State will be arrested by Imo security agent. He then called on community leaders to advice their children to stay out of trouble within this New Year and Christmas period.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">HRH, Eze Obi Ejeshi, Ezeukwu of Emekuku autonomous community in Owerri North LGA of Imo State, in his own speech told the governor\u2019s agent that it will be very difficult to ban masquerades completely. He promised that his youths will not block the major roads, adding that people from sister communities most times, block the major roads. He advised Imo government to employ more traffic wardens that will help in the decongestion of the cities during the festivities.
