By\nOnyeananam Chidinma\/Edmund<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Honourable Chief Mike Anyanwu, a former\nchieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ahiazu Mbaise Local\nGovernment Area of Imo State and Special Adviser to the Executive Governor of\nAbia State on grassroot mobilization has defected to the All Progressive\nCongress APC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The development was officially made\nknown during a declaration ceremony held at Chief Mike Anyanwu\u2019s country home,\nNnemere Mpam, which coincided with the meeting of the Oru Na lude ward where\nmultitudes also declared to the ruling party.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Speaking with newsmen at his country home,\nChief Mike Anyanwu commended APC members for coming to witness the declaration\nceremony, adding that the efforts of the party men towards catalyzing\ndevelopment influenced his decision. He pledged allegiance to the All\nProgressives Congress, APC and also vowed to bring his political weight to bear\nin grass root development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Chief Anyanwu also said, \u201cAhiazu have\nsuffered a lot, especially Mpam. We were supporting PDP but there was nothing\nto show for it. Before now Emeka Ihedioha came for the Governorship from\nMbaise. At the end of the day, he ruled for eight months, he failed at the Supreme\nCourt. We looked front and back, brain storming on the best way forward, so we\ndecided to join APC, with Honourable Sam Otuibe at the forefront\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The former PDP stalwart said Ahiazu\nMbaise Local Government party men unanimously agreed to join the moving train.\nHe explained further saying, \u201cwe resolved to work for APC, it is better we start now. We are looking\nforward to see more decampees from All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA , PDP\nand other parties. Ahiazu APC has set the pace, after here it will go round the\n27 LGA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The renowned grassroot developer, Chief\nAnyanwu urged Ahiazu Mbaise APC faithful to work with one mind, noting that\ntheir efforts will ensure that the government of Senator Hope Uzodinma succeed.\nHe said his family and his community has vowed to remain APC faithful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Also speaking with newsmen, the Interim\nManagement Committee Chairman in Ahiazu Mbaise, Honourable Larry Chikwe urged\ncitizens to support Governor Hope Uzodinma, while expressing happiness over the\ndecision of Chief Anyanwu and other party men to join APC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In his speech, Honourable Sam Otuibe,\nmember representing Ahiazu Mbaise state constituency at the Imo State House of\nAssembly, lauded Governor Hope Uzodinma for appointing deserving sons and\ndaughters of Ahiazu to laudable positions in his administration, a fit the\nprevious government did not attain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n APC bigwigs who witnessed the\ndeclaration include, Hon Chief Mrs Ngozi Aririguzo, Hon Commissioner for Social\nWelfare and Sanitation, Dr Elias Ogundu Emedom, Chief Mrs Grace Ugo, Dr Kachi\nNwoga, Hon Nze J.C Anyanwu, Hon Tony Odirichukwu member representing Aboh\nMbaise, Hon Eddy Obinna, Chief Jimmy Ibe, Chief Bona Nwaoha, Nze K.C Nwoko, Hon\nUchenna Agomuo, IMC member representing Mpam ward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Those that
