Tunji\nAdedeji<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Following the outbreak of the novel global\nvirus known as Covid-19, which has caused untold hardship and hunger in the\ncountry, members of City Fathers International Initiative have donated\npalliative materials to Red Cross Motherless Babies homes Owerri, Imo State to contain\nand cushion the effect of the COVID-19 disease.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The items include bags of rice, bags of\nbeans, bags of garri, cartons of indomie, rolls of tissue papers, assorted\nmilks and Milo drinks, tubers of yams, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Distributing the items, Sir Eustace Eke,\na Trustee Member of the group made up of respected elders stated that the\ngesture was part of their corporate social responsibility and humanitarian\neffort to contain the ravaging hunger and alleviate the sufferings occasioned\nby the dreaded Covid 19 scourge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Sir Eke also said, “this effort is\nin support of Federal and State Governments to fight the scourge and untold\nsuffering on it citizens.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n He described City Father’s International\nInitiative as a humanitarian nonpolitical body made up renounced elder\nstatement, Traditional Rulers and technocrats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n He opined that their decision to put\nsmile on the face of the less Privileged was informed by the excruciating\nhardship on the people especially, the under privileged in the populace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Acknowledging the receipt of the items\non behalf of the Redcross Motherless home, thanked the group for their\ngenerosity and fatherly care for the less privileged and vulnerable groups<\/p>\n\n\n\n She promised that they will put it in\ngood for the targeted beneficiaries just as directed by City Fathers\nInternational Initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Members Includes Sir.
