By:\nTochi Onyeubi<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The people of Okigwe are yet to recover from\nthe rude shock of the gruesome murder of notable philanthropist and business\nman, Mr. Peter Ibecherem by unknown gun men.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The incident which has created so much\ntension was gathered, happened on Tuesday night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n His death, has drawn sympathy and\ncriticism as youths had already, taken to the streets to protest the way he was\nkilled, while social media has been agog with friends and relatives, calling\nsecurity agencies to do the needful in bringing his killers to book.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The deceased who was popularly called\n“Mr Specie”, was a well known philanthropist in the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Police spokesman, SP Orlando Ikeokwu\nhas confirmed the incident, assuring that investigations are already on top\ngear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In a related development, a woman known\nas Mrs Susanna Iwuoha from Umuchiaku Village in Lowa autonomous community in\nIhitte Uboma has been strangled to death.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Investigation revealed that, the\ndeceased who had earlier gone to weed her farm with her daughter on Tuesday,\nhad requested to go again to harvest cassava later same day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It was gathered that, the daughter who\ncomplained of being tired, pleaded with the late Mrs Susanna to do other chores\nat home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Problem started when the deceased was\nyet to return.
