The Ohaji \/Egbema APC Youth wing\nhas sounded a note of warning to Modestus Nwankpa against alleged \u201cdisparaging\u201d\nthe apex leader of the oil region of the state, Rt Hon Goodluck\nOpiah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Rising from an emergency meeting Wednesday\nmorning, the youth in a statement by its Leader, Mr \nBernard Amagwula (Okadigbo) has accused an appointee of the government,\nMr Modestus Nwankpa , of allegedly being used to disparage Opiah, a\nrespected Leader.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the group” Modestus\nNwankpa has severally used THE BIG TRUTH, a newspaper that he is the\npublisher to spread fake news, phony information and \n“framings\u201d to bolster messages charged with anti Opiah and anti Uchegbu\nrhetorics aimed at undermining the government of the state. As a\ngovernment appointee, he should have known better the implications of such.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“It is unacceptable that a\ngovernment appointee will be using his newspaper to insult respected APC\nLeaders.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The BIG TRUTH newspaper was accused to\nhave said that “Forum of APC Ward Chairmen in Oguta wrote Gov\nUzodinma accusing Opiah and Uchegbu of causing trouble in Oguta APC which is false. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
“APC Ward Chairmen are known. No\nsuch letter came from them”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The paper went further to say that\nOpiah failed in his Ward during the 2019 general elections which is also\nfalse. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
“What Modestus Nwankpa did,\nwas to hide under his Newspaper to ginger the malicious publications in a\ndeliberate attempt to confuse and manipulate the people through\ndelivering dishonest information. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Goodluck Opiah is a politician\nloved and respected by the people. It is fake news from the pit of hell to say\nhe lost in his Ward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“This purveyor of this disinformation\nprey on the vulnerability or partisan potential of recipients whom he hope to\nenlist as amplifiers and multipliers. In this way he seeks to animate the\npeople into becoming conduits of his fake messages by exploiting the\npeople’s propensities to share information ” Amagwula said <\/p>\n\n\n\n
“As at today, Opiah still\nremains the issue because he is a politician who puts his people as his\npriority. Because of his boldness, and intellectual ability, he remains a man whose\nopinions are respected in the state. With him guiding the oil region, we\nare not in doubt that our constituency will be rightly placed in the affairs of\nthe state”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Amagwula added,\u201d one would say that\nModestus Nwankpa has exhibited arrogance by disrespecting a leader like\nOpiah that is championing the good of the oil areas . We\u2019ve tested\nsome persons with elected and appointed political positions. We have come to\nrealize that many have no single plan for Ohaji\/ Egbema and Oguta but\nall they do is to throw mud on the good image of a visionary like Rt Hon\nGoodluck Opiah.
