Engr, the adsorption refrigerator system can be fabricated without moving parts, using locally available technology in developing countries, they have no need for importation. The refrigerator contains only three major components (container of adsorbents, condenser and evaporator).

In 1996 Prof Anyanwu successfully designed, built and tested a solar powered solid adsorption refrigerator using activated carbon/methanol. Earlier in 1985 Anyanwu had designed an economically viable direct solar energy stimulated natural convection crop dryer, whose study confirmed that solar drying technologies offer low cost, low energy consumption method of drying crops in regions of abundant sunshine due to their inherent mechanical simplicity and thermal energy requirements.

However, this Mbaise born mechanical Engineering Professor was in 2005 appreciated and honoured for all his outstanding researchers and contributions towards new energy technology revolutions by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Solar Heating and Cooking Track, who adjudge his paper titled “Transient Analysis and performance prediction of a solid Adsorption Solar Refrigerator” the best of all papers at the 2005 ASME International Solar Energy Conference and Solar World Congress held in Orland, Poland, USA.

Engr Prof EE Anyanwu, is also a force to reckon with in terms of human capacity building, which can be date back to 1975 as an Auxiliary Teacher at the then Teacher Training College Chokoneze Mbaise. Ever since he has been involved in teaching, research and public service. For more than twenty-five years now, Prof Anyanwu has supervised more than two hundred and fifty (250) students 60th undergraduates and postgraduates with many others being baked in his academic bakery at the Premier Federal University of Technology Owerri.

 The Dean school of engineering and engineering Technology of the Federal University of Technology,

[8

post-3147","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-news-xtra
"1536x1536":"","2048x2048":"
["Imo Trumpeta
["GET
