However, reacting to the development, Nwakali, in a statement via his Twitter handle on Wednesday, accused the club\u2019s Sporting Director, Ruben Garcia of being the brain behind the termination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The former Arsenal star said trouble started when he got called up to the Super Eagles squad for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cameroon, but Garcia asked him not to honour the invite as it was \u2018not being an important tournament\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nwakali\u2019s statement read, \u201cIt comes with huge regret that I am writing this message after SD Huesca announced the termination of my contract. I have kept silent out of respect for the Huesca fans and my teammates, but I will no longer suffer in silence. The time has come for people to know the truth and why these past few months have been awful for me and my family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
