.As Elections Holds in Trouble spots In\u00a0\u00a0Imo\u00a0<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n
People of Oru East, Orlu and Orsu LGAs have cause to rejoice as the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has assured of holding elections in their troubled areas in Saturday’s House of Assembly polls in Imo State.<\/p>\n
Some parts of the mentioned councils have been in the news for bad reasons over persistent reports of killings, kidnappings and unknown gunmen\u00a0activities fueling speculations that election may not hold in the affected areas due to insecurity.<\/p>\n
The outbreak of unknown gunmen menace created fear of holding elections in the area especially after an outlawed sect in Igbo land was alleged to have called for no polls in the South East states.<\/p>\n
But a glim of hope appeared for the three state constituencies following the decision of INEC to hold elections in these areas.<\/p>\n
