A former Super Falcons attacker, Desire Oparanozie, has advised youths to balance sporting activities and personal life to achieve success.<\/p>\n
Oparanozie gave the advice at an sensitisation on sporting activities for secondary school students organized by the Desire Oparanozie Foundation, a Non Governmental Organisation, in partnership with the Embassy of France in Nigeria, in Owerri, on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
The programme was tagged: \u201cSporting Activities for Schools \u2013 Paris 2024\u201d.<\/p>\n
Oparanozie said that the programme was part of efforts by her foundation aimed at growing sports in secondary and pre tertiary schools in Imo.<\/p>\n
She said that the programme was intended to enrich the social intellect of secondary schools students and \u00a0prepare them for future tasks.<\/p>\n
\u201c Young people must balance sports and personal life and diversify through skill acquisition which is essential for survival.<\/p>\n
\u201c Youths should stay adaptable and open to new opportunities while prioritising education and personal development, despite their challenges \u201c, she said.<\/p>\n
Speaking, the Chairman, Sports Writers Association of Nigeria in Imo, Mr Cosmos Chukwuemeka, urged youths to keep abreast of historical events and continue to enrich their storehouse of knowledge through education.<\/p>\n
He thanked the foundation for thinking toward Imo and expressed the association\u2019s commitment to healthy partnerships for holistic sports development.<\/p>\n
A highlight of the event was the presentation of papers by resource persons and the exhibition of the French \u2018cuisine\u2019 (kitchen\/delicacies) as well as language and cultural exhibitions.<\/p>\n
