The Council of Students\u2019 Union Government,(SUG) lmo State,Presidents of the various institutions in the State is using this<\/p>\n
medium to appreciate and congratulate the Government of Imo State ably led by Distinguished Senator Hope<\/p>\n
Uzodinma (Onwa Oyoko) for his outstanding styles of leadership toward the construction and development of<\/p>\n
roads and Imo environs at large.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
In a press release made available to Trumpeta reads “In recent times, the Governor has successfully completed the Construction of roads and Rehabilitation of 46<\/p>\n
roads which includes,<\/p>\n
-Construction\/Rehabilitation of Ahiara to Okpala junction.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
– Aba branch – Ahiara junction, Nkume – Umuowa Orlu, Mgbidi – Oguta (Oguta lake) road,<\/p>\n
-Imo State University Teaching Hospital.<\/p>\n
– Jacob Zuma Road – Concorde Road with Spur to PH Road.<\/p>\n
– Imo State University Road, Bishops Court Road.<\/p>\n

– Okigwe Roundabout – St Mary Church, Okigwe (Okigwe road).<\/p>\n
– Ogwohoroanya- Avutu \u2013 Umunachi (Roundabout).<\/p>\n
– Douglas – Naze Junction.<\/p>\n
– Control Post (Assumpta) to Ibari ogwa (Port-Harcourt Road).<\/p>\n
– Assumpta – Umuguma Junction (World bank Road)<\/p>\n
– Maintenance of failed section at Owerri – Mbaise – Obowo Road<\/p>\n
– NACC Road \u2013 Uratta.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
He noted that there are lots of roads still under construction and Contracts have been awarded to roads like<\/p>\n
– Assumpta – Umuguma Road (7.4km) .<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
This strategic roads will enhance connectivity between major residential<\/p>\n
and commercial hubs, easing movement and reducing travel time within Owerri and its environs.<\/p>\n
– Hospital Road and Chosen – Dreamland Road (6km combined).<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The rehabilitation of these roads is expected<\/p>\n
to improve access to healthcare facilities, educational institutions and local businesses thereby stimulating<\/p>\n
economic activities.<\/p>\n
– Naze – Nekede – Ihiagwa road (Including a Spur bridge).<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
They noted that the Governor has mandated the immediate<\/p>\n
resumption of work on this vital route.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
“We will not also fail to thank the Governor for his effort in making Imo a theme of 24 hours steady power<\/p>\n
supply through the commencement and construction of the ANOH GAS POWER HOUSE PROJECT which will<\/p>\n
commence by July 2025 at Ohaji-Egbem”.<\/p>\n

Congratulations once more Mr Governor Onwa Onyoko for this outstanding feat .<\/p>\n
