{"id":509,"date":"2012-05-17T19:14:40","date_gmt":"2012-05-17T19:14:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.imotrumpeta.com\/?p=509"},"modified":"2012-05-17T19:14:40","modified_gmt":"2012-05-17T19:14:40","slug":"state-government-committed-to-strengthen-igr","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.imotrumpeta.com\/?p=509","title":{"rendered":"State Government committed to strengthen IGR"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The State Government says to ensure the sustainability of its economic growth there is the need to network various Internally Generated Revenue sources of the State into a strong platform.<br \/>\nThe Accountant-General, Sir George\u00a0Eche\u00a0stated this in a message he sent to a workshop on \u201cSustaining Economic Growth\u201d in\u00a0Owerri.<br \/>\nSir George\u00a0Eche\u00a0explained that the importance of employment generation targeted particularly at young people which is the policy of the present administration in the state cannot be over-emphasized.<br \/>\nHe highlighted that the need to sustain and expand measures designed to tackle poverty and improve social welfare is being squarely addressed.<br \/>\nThe Accountant-General noted that various reports indicate that some noticeable\u00a0programmes\u00a0by\u00a0Imo\u00a0State government and its\u00a0Local Government\u00a0towards the achievements of its MDGs\u00a0as manifested in such indicators as Net-Primary School enrolment, child immunization, gender parity and containment of the spread of Malaria and HI V\/AIDs\u00a0are in front burner.
