{"id":51038,"date":"2026-10-19T21:01:33","date_gmt":"2026-10-19T21:01:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.imotrumpeta.com\/?p=51038"},"modified":"2026-10-19T21:01:33","modified_gmt":"2026-10-19T21:01:33","slug":"owerri-zone-united-reaffirms-support-for-uzodinma-adopts-apc-as-sole-political-platform-backs-owerri-zone-successor","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.imotrumpeta.com\/?p=51038","title":{"rendered":"OWERRI ZONE UNITED REAFFIRMS SUPPORT FOR UZODINMA, ADOPTS APC AS SOLE POLITICAL PLATFORM, BACKS OWERRI ZONE SUCCESSOR"},"content":{"rendered":"<ol>\n<li>OWERRI ZONE UNITED REAFFIRMS SUPPORT FOR UZODINMA, ADOPTS APC AS SOLE POLITICAL PLATFORM, BACKS OWERRI ZONE SUCCESSOR<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ee;\"><u>\u00a0<\/u><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ee;\"><u>We, the members and leadership of Owerri Zone United, at our caucus meeting held on Sunday, October 18, 2026, at the residence of our Operational Leader, *Prince Charls Amadi (Charlvon)*, extensively reviewed the developmental achievements of *His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, Executive Governor of Imo State*, and resolved to renew and strengthen our support for his administration, leadership and vision for the state.<\/u><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ee;\"><u>\u00a0<\/u><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ee;\"><u>Having considered the giant strides recorded under his administration, we commend his investments in road construction and rehabilitation, urban renewal, healthcare, education, youth empowerment, workers\u2019 welfare and other critical sectors. We particularly recognise the establishment of the Imo Robotics and Oncology Centre and the Skill Up Imo programme as significant contributions to healthcare delivery and youth development.<\/u><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ee;\"><u>\u00a0<\/u><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ee;\"><u>We believe these achievements deserve recognition and that our appreciation must translate into concrete political support for the Governor and his vision for Imo State.<\/u><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ee;\"><u>\u00a0<\/u><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ee;\"><u>*MOTION ADOPTED: APC AS OUR SOLE POLITICAL PLATFORM*<\/u><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ee;\"><u>\u00a0<\/u><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ee;\"><u>At the meeting, a motion was moved and adopted that Owerri Zone United would pursue its political aspirations and political support exclusively through the All Progressives Congress (APC).<\/u><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ee;\"><u>\u00a0<\/u><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ee;\"><u>Consequently, we resolved to support APC candidates across all levels of government, from the presidency and Senate to the House of Representatives and the Imo State House of Assembly. This decision reflects our commitment to party unity, political consistency and our determination to honour Governor Uzodimma through the political platform with which he has pursued his vision for Imo State.<\/u><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ee;\"><u>\u00a0<\/u><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ee;\"><u>*WE WILL THROW OUR FULL WEIGHT BEHIND UZODINMA\u2019S PREFERRED SUCCESSOR FROM OWERRI ZONE*<\/u><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ee;\"><u>\u00a0<\/u><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ee;\"><u>On the question of succession, our position is clear and unequivocal: Owerri Zone United is committed to the emergence of the next Governor of Imo State from Owerri Zone on the platform of the APC, with the support and endorsement of Governor Hope Uzodimma.<\/u><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ee;\"><u>\u00a0<\/u><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ee;\"><u>We will stand firmly behind whoever His Excellency presents as his preferred candidate from Owerri Zone to succeed him. We will throw our full political weight behind that candidate and mobilise our members, supporters and political structures to ensure that our collective position is translated into meaningful action.<\/u><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ee;\"><u>\u00a0<\/u><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ee;\"><u>This decision demonstrates the confidence we repose in the Governor\u2019s leadership, experience and political judgment. Having acknowledged his developmental achievements and the direction he has given the state, we consider it appropriate to support his preferred choice for succession as a demonstration of our loyalty and trust.<\/u><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ee;\"><u>\u00a0<\/u><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ee;\"><u>We believe that an APC successor from Owerri Zone, in line with the Governor\u2019s preferred direction, offers an opportunity to sustain the developmental gains of the present administration and advance the interests of our zone within Imo State.<\/u><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ee;\"><u>\u00a0<\/u><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ee;\"><u>*RALLIES ACROSS THE FOUR FEDERAL CONSTITUENCIES, OF OWERRI ZONE AND A DECEMBER MEGA RALLY IN MUNICPAL.\u00a0<\/u><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ee;\"><u>\u00a0<\/u><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ee;\"><u>To translate our resolutions into action, a motion was moved for the organisation of rallies across the four federal constituencies of Owerri Zone, followed by a major rally in Owerri Zone Federal Constituencies in November and a mega rally in December, at Municipal ahead of the election.<\/u><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ee;\"><u>\u00a0<\/u><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ee;\"><u>The rallies will serve as platforms for mobilising our people, sensitising the public on our political position, showcasing the achievements of Governor Uzodimma\u2019s administration and building support for the APC and the emergence of an Owerri Zone successor.<\/u><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ee;\"><u>\u00a0<\/u><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ee;\"><u>The November rally in Owerri Zone will consolidate the mobilisation efforts across the four federal constituencies, while the December mega rally will provide a broader platform to demonstrate our unity, strength and commitment to the political direction we have adopted.<\/u><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ee;\"><u>\u00a0<\/u><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ee;\"><u>We call on our members, supporters and political stakeholders across Owerri Zone to remain united and participate actively in these planned activities as we work towards achieving our collective objectives.<\/u><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ee;\"><u>\u00a0<\/u><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ee;\"><u>*OUR COMMITMENT TO GOVERNOR UZODINMA AND IMO STATE*<\/u><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ee;\"><u>\u00a0<\/u><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ee;\"><u>Our resolutions are clear: we appreciate Governor Uzodimma\u2019s developmental achievements, we have adopted the APC as our sole political platform, and we are committed to supporting his preferred successor from Owerri Zone.<\/u><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ee;\"><u>\u00a0<\/u><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ee;\"><u>We assure His Excellency of our continued solidarity and readiness to mobilise our people and structures in support of his political direction.
