The unavoidable hands of death have ravaged the camp of the immediate past Governor of Imo State, Dr Ikedi Ohakim and snatched two of its prominent think Tank team.<\/p>\n
While the group was yet to get over the sudden death of its Petroleum and Environment guru, Dr Alloysuis Agunwa, in a ghastly road accident, another trusted ally, Chief Pini Jason Onyegbaduo died days after a surgical operation. Jason was former Special Advisor on Special Duties (media).<\/p>\n
The two deaths have thrown the Ohakim Camp into mourning, with the burial of both men coming up weeks apart. Both Aguwa and Jason came from the Mbaise clan. Aguwa comes from Aboh Mbaise, while Pini Jason is from Ezinihitte Mbaise.<\/p>\n
Ironically, Pini Jason attended the first burial meeting called by the group in Abuja to deliberate on the burial of Aguwa, and he made serious contributions, only to die two days after.<\/p>\n
Speaking to Trumpeta, the leader of the group, and immediate past Governor of Imo State, Dr Ikedi Ohakim said he was devasted, but has to pull together, because death is a necessary end that awaits all mortals.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am in great shock and devasted. I have lost two of my best team players, and Imo State in general has lost two of its best brains in different fields.<\/p>\n
Though the deaths are personal loss to me, but Imo State has to mourn these illustrious sons\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Also speaking to Trumpeta, a former colleagues of Dr Alloysius Aguwa in the State Exco, who was in-charge of Hearth, Dr Frederick Ekwem said \u201cI wish to use this medium to mourn the tragic death of Dr Alloy Aguwa, a friend and former\u00a0 colleague in Imo State Executive Council\u201d.<\/p>\n
Dr Ekwem continued \u201cHe was a fune and jovial gentle man, an American trained world class environmentalist who contributed immensely to the success of the Executive Council. It was indeed a sad news\u201d.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, members of the Ohakim’s Executive Council were on a condolence visit to the Aguwa home at Nguru Nweke Aboh Mbaise LGA. The delegation was led by Hon Chuma Nnaji, who served as Commissioner for Information during the administration.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
