A non partisan social political group in Imo State known as Mbaise Forum has been described as a tool that will unite all the warring groups in the area, ahead of 2015 general elections.
\nSpeaking to Trumpeta on the objectives of the Forum, National Chairman of the group, Hon Ikay. V. Njoku said that the organization would do everything within its powers to bring peace and love to Mbaise clan.
\nHe noted that Mbaise Forum is open to every one from the area, who appreciates the essence of transparent leadership, adding that the group does not discriminate against anybody. \u201cMbaise Forum is a non partisan social political organization, put together to collect and articulate the political and social interest as it affects Mbaise people, its membership is drawn from\u00a0\u00a0 politicians, civil servants, even religious leaders. It is opened to every Mbaise son and daughter\u201d.
\nAccording to him, there two types of registration; financial and nominal registration. Those who register with a token are eligible to vote or be voted for, wherever, we are electing officers at various levels. Over mission statement is targeted towards political education, enlightment, sensitization, mobilization and uniting our people.
\nHe maintained that the organization would also restore and harness the self confidence which it has abound in them. \u201cEven the unity we shared prior to this time, which is fast eluding us make us speak with one voice and not to work at cross purpose. This is because, we had in mind that in unity lies our strength and success\u201d.
\nHon. Njoku however stated that the organization would carry everyone along in the scheme o things, adding that no section of Mbaise clan would be discriminated.
\nOn if the forum will liaise with other political groups, he noted that the forum would work with other groups in the area, in order to give Mbaise clan its pride of place in Imo State and Nigeria in general.
\nOn the numerical strength of the organization, He said\u00a0 \u201cwe have established a 26 man\/woman executive at each of the three LGAs of Mbaise and also inaugurated them and by June, we would have consolidated the executives in each autonomous community in the\u00a0 area Hon. Njoku also debunked the speculation that the group is sponsored by a prominent politician in Mbaise, stressing that the forum has no time for partisan politics but maintained that it will continue to reach out to other sons and daughters of Mbaise for the purpose of achieving desired goal.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
