The Chairman of the Actualization a n Committee appointed by the late State
\nCommander, of Vigilant Group of Nigeria VGN Onwuzuruike Remmy Peters, Comrade Uzoma Eke, has refuted the rumours going round that VGN lmo State
\nCommand is going through crisis.
\nIn a chat with Journalists after Security Awareness Seminar organized by the National body of the organization at the Rossy Arts Theatre, Owerri, he said that .the members of VGN <\/em><\/strong>Imo State
\nCommand have written several letters to the National headquarters
\nof VGN demanding the ratification of the State Commander, Apostle KingsIey Uzoma.
\nComrade Eke noted that the six months probation given to Apostle
\nUzoma as the Acting State Commander has elapsed, adding that it is
\neither, the national body confirms him as the substantive State
\nCommander, or another Commander should be appointed for the
\nState VGN.
\nComrade Uzoma clarified that there is no factional dispute in VGN Imo State Chapter, but the members-were asking for the ratification of the position of the State Commander, which has been vacant since the demise of former commander, Mr. Peter Onwuzuruike.<\/p>\n

He noted that in the organogram of the VGN, the Commander General is followed by the Deputy Commander (Administration), and once the head shifts, the rest follow. <\/em>\u00a0He made it clear that there is no position for Deputy Commander both in the state and national, adding that Deputy Commanders act a Heads of Departments, adding that Mr. Cyril Ekechi, the present Deputy \u201cCommander
\nAdministration (DCA), is supposed to be installed as the substantive Commander of Imo State VGN.
\n.<\/p>\n

In his own contribution, a member of the Actualization Committee, VGN Imo State Command, Dr. Evans Osajimo, maintained that there is no crisis in VGNImoState, stressing that members were only the national body to ratify the position of the Commander of the command.
\nComrade Dr. Evans Osagimo also emphasized that he had sent letters to the Commandant General in Abuja and the National
\nExecutive Council, and that while participating in the Reconciliation
\nCommittee he put a case about the ratification to the Panel, pointing out that the person acting is not the right person to be there, but rather, it should be the DC Administration, who was close to late Commander Onwuzuruike Peters, and has had vast knowledge since 2009, to handle the affairs of the State Command.<\/p>\n

In his speech, the Acting Commander VGN Imo State Chapter, Apostle Kingsley Uzoma, said that the purpose of the seminar was to retrain members to enable them perform effectively in fighting crime in their various communities, and that members of the Command have been assisting the police in arresting criminals. He advised his men to adhere strictly to, and practice what they learnt at the seminar.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
