Facts emerged yesterday why those angling to replace Chief Victor Umeh as the National Chairman of the All Progressive Grand Alliance APGA may not succeed after all.
The All Progressive Grand Alliance it will be recalled had been engrossed in a leadership crisis for the past six months following the authenticity of Chief Victor Umeh’s Chairmanship of the party.
Apparently there has been court orders and counter orders over the legality of Chief Umeh’s position as the National Chairman of the party.
Investigation by Trumpeta reveals that Chief Victor Umeh was elected in February 2011 as the National Chairman of the party in the party’s Awka- Convention Supervised by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
This however, indicates that the tenure of the Victor Umeh’s Lead National Executive of the party will seize to exist from February 2015 constitutionally.
If this is the true situation, it therefore shows that the party may not have any other National Congress before the February 2015 expiration of the mandate of Chief Victor Umeh.
