A five man screening Committee for screening of PDP National Assembly aspirants has swung into action in Imo in accordance with the party guideline for the conduct of the 2015 general elections.
The screening exercise which started yesterday Wednesday November 18, 2014 will be rounded off yesterday Thursday November 19, at the party secretariat along Okigwe road, Owerri.
Trumpeta reporter who visited the venue of the exercise said that the screening exercise did not kick-start until about 3 pm in the afternoon as many of the aspirants were seen moving around the secretariat with their files.
This News paper gathered that former members of the National Assembly who are seeking re-election however could not go for the exercise as it is gathered that they rushed back to Abuja to reconvene sitting.
Meanwhile a new date will be announced for their screening any time from next week to meet up with the party guidelines on the exercise.
