
A boy of late twenties, yesterday evening was reportedly shut down by unknown gun men along Mbaise road, opposite FCMB Bank Owerri, Imo State in an alleged case of being a terror to the inhabitants of old Nekede road.
The suspected cultist by name, Chibuike Omaka, popularly known as “Mbele” according to eye witnesses around the scene of the incident is from Ohafia in Abia state, but resides at Old Nekede road with his family.
It was reported that Chibuike since last year left Owerri for Lagos state, but allegedly returned to Owerri on Saturday, possibly to cast his vote.
Unfortunately for him, while trying to board a “Keke” that would convey him and his suspected girl friend to his Nekede habitation, unidentified four guys intruded and shot him to death. Reports also that the perpetrators took to their heels to God knows where.
Meanwhile, the police rushed down to the scene of the incident and carried the dead body for further investigations.
