The Governor of Imo State Chief Rochas Okorocha with other APC Governors in a courtesy visit to the President elect, Rt General Mohammed Buhari blamed, President Goodluck Jonathan for misappropriation of fund warranted 3 month non payment of salary to Civil Servants in the state.
Okorocha stated this in a courtesy call made to President elect by the All Progressive Congress (APC) Governors forum in Abuja last week.
Speaking, Governor Okorocha stated that non-payment of salary to civil servants in the state is due to lack of money in the state account, adding that Civil Servants are crying for their 3 month salary owned them.
Okorocha urged the President elect to come to their rescue on the issue as he said the welfare of the citizen is his concern.
In a related development Governor Okorocha has also advised Imo primary teaches to have faith, that their 13th months salary arrears will be paid within the next 2 months, he stated this in May day celebration to mark the 2015 workers day in the country although the State Government in a release recently has debunked it.
