Congress of Imo youth social Organization was flagged-off with free holiday classes for senior secondary school students at Ikenegbu Girls secondary school Owerri, Imo state.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, the National President of CIY Comr. Udochukwu Emekalam in his speech stated that in order to engage the secondary schools student in a meaningfully venture during the holidays, the CIY organization have committed itself in providing free and qualitative holiday lesson series for secondary school students and interested youths in Owerri with the best selected teachers in order to make the programme effective.
Comr. Emekalam also appealed for the support of the public and the Government in particular in order to move Imo Youths and Imo state to a greater height as Imo state is a co-operative affair. He urged the students to be hard working and to also shun all forms of gangasterism or fraternity, adding that the Commissioner of Police had re-assured of optimum security of lives and properties and as the lesson series lasts from August 13th, 2012 till 13th of September 2012.
