The story has it that the man died in the hospital and was brought in by an Uncle, a sister and a brother whose faith was super charged. They broke protocols and interrupted the procession going on with their willing and the attendant incoherent plea for help. The priest, Rev. Chiedozie, was at a loss and could not make out any meaning from the inaudible sounds they were making as they reel out bizarre and gory tales amidst tears.
The priest felt so bad and lashed out at his workers for not going round in the morning to check on the sick and consequently refer critical ones to hospitals instead of allowing people die at the arena. Nevertheless, he instructed the relatives to bring in the corpse, ordered his workers to go into the church and start praying while he pleaded on the now bemused congregation to kneel down and cry out to God for mercies.
“That was how what would go down as a miracle started to unfold before my very eyes”. According to him within ten or fifteen minutes of intense prayer, the man who was still wrapped in a body bag jerked, the priest removed the water proof and the praying continued until the man already confirmed dead stood up to the glory of God”.
It was later revealed that the man has been bed ridden at the hospital for more than two weeks before he was finally pronounced that morning dead by the hospital, only to stand on his feet and dance to the glory of God with any sign of sickness of the congregation at the Adoration Ground at Umuna Okigwe.
