The people of Ihenweopku Obodo Ahiara, in Ahiazu Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State have continued to kick against the proposed creation of Ihenweokpu Obodo Ahiara autonomous community as was carved out by the Imo State House of Assembly ad hoc committee on creation of new autonomous communities.
According to a statement issued by those who claim to be the original indigenes of Ihenweokpu Umuehi, Umuakali,Umuakwali and a segment of Umuotunwayi also reject rejected a claim by one man acting as the purported Eze elect of the autonomous community.
The people who were alerted by an interview one Remigius Onyeaocha of Umuotunwanyi in Obodo Ahiara granted a medium where he paraded himself as the Eze-elect of Ihenweokpu Obodo Ahiara.
According to them, Obodo Ahiara as an autonomous community has only one monarch in Eze Geoffrey Anyanwu, the Onugotu of Obodo Ahiara. Therefore, the Imo State government and the state legislature were asked not to give the alleged impostor an undeserved attention.
